OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

VIRAL for Local Communities was born from an idea: to insert virtual reality in adult education and in particular in the paths of inclusion of new migrants in small communities.

The initial research phase highlighted how virtual reality can be applied to the most advanced formal teaching techniques, becoming a useful tool for mitigating the teacher-learner relationship, overcoming stressful and embarrassing situations and inserting the playful element into the path. of adult learning.

During the research and experimentation phase, it was also highlighted how virtual reality can represent a particularly effective tool in the integration process, also used "in reverse", or by creating structured "educational" videos with the intent of creating empathy, forcing the viewer to experience a situation of difficulty or embarrassment in the shoes of the other.

RECIPIENTS

VIRAL for Local Communities VIRAL for Local Communities is aimed at anyone working in the adult education sector (training and language schools, institutions and public administrations, reception centers, cultural associations and libraries) with the intention of providing a tool useful for fostering integration and mutual understanding thanks to the use of VR technology..

During the VR4EDU event it will be possible to live the experience of theVIRAL project in immersive mode thanks to the setting up of the 4 CROSS CULTURAL TOOLBOX corners equipped with CardBoard VR, all in complete safety and according to the provisions of the current Covid legislation.
